We have partnered with the Cleveland Browns for the Stay in the Game Attendance Incentive program.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, one student from each grade level is chosen at random. If the child is at school, they come down to the office to get a certificate, prize from the Cleveland Browns, and get to put their name on the "Ridge-Brook Splash Pad: Dive Into Attendance" wall.
The Ridge-Brook Student Council consists of students in grades 2-4. Each homeroom teacher recommended two students to be in Student Council. Our Student Council members are focusing on making Ridge-Brook a better place and helping the community.
In December Student Council members took a field trip to Divinity, one of Ridge-Brook's community partners. Our students performed Christmas carols at their holiday luncheon and made ornaments to give to all in attendance.
Ridge-Brook's Safety Patrol is made up of 4th graders that are always respectful, responsible, and ready. The students work before school to help all of Ridge-Brook's students be safe at all times. They monitor the students while they stand in line, at breakfast, and while they walk to class in the morning.
At Ridge-Brook, students earn Dolphin Dollars when they are "caught" following the 3 R's (Respectful, Responsible, and Ready). Once a month, students get to visit the Dolphin Cart and spend some (or all!) of their Dolphin Dollars on toys, food, and candy.
At the end of each quarter, the students attend an End of the Quarter Event such as a dance.
All classrooms are incorporating a Community Meeting and Restorative practices each day.
